Chocolate Scotch Clusters

Quantity Ingredients Preparation Notes
6 oz pkg Semi Sweet Chocolate Chips (1 1/2 C)
  •   Melt chocolate and butterscotch pieces in double boiler, stirring occasionally.
  •   Remove from heat
  •   Stir in oats and peanuts
  •   Drop by spoonfuls on waxed paper
  •   Chill
6 oz pkg Butterscotch pieces
1 1/2 C Quick Oats (uncooked)
1 C Salted Peanuts
Options:
  1. Substitute an additional 6 oz package butterscotch pieces for chocolate pieces.  Add 1/4 C peanut butter, melt with butterscotch and proceed.
  2. Substitute 1 Cup Shoestring potatoes for peanuts
  3. Substitute 1 C chopped nuts for peanuts.
